Making a living in music isn’t easy, especially when it seems like listeners' tastes change with the wind and algorithms are updated constantly, teasing artists with catching the elusive dollar. Will Overman however; has found a way to thrive in a seemingly constant state of transition. Overman’s taste in music is vast and heavily influences what many say is a Country-Americana sound but sonically it is restless by nature, always searching for something new, and with Will’s heart-worn lyrics and dynamic vocal delivery, it makes for a memorable mixture that is hard to place but easy to love.
Will Overman’s debut album: The Winemaker’s Daughter.
In the three years following the recording of his EP Crossroads (released Dec. 7, 2017) Will underwent a major growth and maturing period as life threw everything at him - both good and bad, all of which is captured on his debut solo LP, The Winemaker’s Daughter (released Feb. 12, 2021). Will says, “The Winemaker’s Daughter is about as close as you can get to a concept album without calling it one.” Consisting of nine songs, The Winemaker’s Daughter, is a retelling of the stories and moments from the last three years, of beauty made possible through pain, all with an undertone of hope for the future.
